Margo has many different modes of transportation! Mommy's arms are her favorite....I'm sure. But there are several other ways this little girl gets around. Madeline loves to push her around in the baby doll stroller. The above picture was taken before Madeline broke her arm. So these stroller rides are on hold for a bit.

She actually likes riding in this stroller. One Sunday morning not too long ago, Madeline was pushing her in it. Margo was very content and David suggested we take it to church with us.

David has been using the backpack carrier quite a bit lately for some walks with her around the neighborhood..........

......and for doing his Mr. Mom duties!!!

Not that you can tell from this picture, but she does enjoy rides in the laundry basket. I think this ride had gotten a little "wild" right as I was taking the picture. I think Madeline gave her a little whiplash!

On Friday afternoon the girls and I played outside. Margo had her first wagon ride. She loved it.

She stayed in the wagon for a long time. Lydia rode with her some and Madeline seemed to be ok pulling them with just one hand.

She got her feet dirty for the first time from the dirt that was in the bottom of the wagon. She didn't seem to mind. She kept moving her feet back and forth, exploring!

Below is a video of some of her rides.

Broken Arm

Madeline broke her arm Saturday night. David and I were eating with some friends when the babysitter called and told us Madeline was hurt. After talking with Madeline, we think she was "flopping" on the couch and that is how it happened. She did not fall. We spent four hours in the WakeMed Children's ER (Sat night/ early Sun. morning). After finally getting home at 3am, and getting a little bit of sleep, WakeMed called at 9:15 Sunday morning to tell us they failed to do a follow-up x-ray after they splinted her arm. So back off the the ER we went.....this time it took two hours, just for an x-ray!!! Uugggghhh!!!! Not exactly how we planned to spend our weekend.

Madeline was a real trooper and handled everything well. She was in quite a bit of pain, especially when they had to straighten out her arm for the initial x-ray. She has a supracondylar fracture of her humerus. In layman's terms, she broke her upper arm bone, just above the elbow. She was very sleep deprived on Sunday. In this picture, she's taking a break from the sling and elevating her arm.

She started to feel much better as soon as her arm was immobilized, and as soon as some good meds were on board. She's already adapting pretty well to being one-handed. Thank goodness she is right handed, and she will not have to learn to write with her non-dominant hand. I know she's going to miss holding Margo. She is such a little mama to her.

Yesterday morning, she woke up with a fever of 102. So she stayed home from school. She enjoyed the extra attention and snuggling on the couch with Margo while Lydia was at preschool.

She was feeling better this morning, but still has a sore throat. She went to school all dressed up in her Carolina cheerleader outfit. It's Spirit Week and today is Sports day. When I walked her to her classroom, she had the funniest look on her face when her friends saw her with a broken arm. It's almost like she was proud of that sling and couldn't wait to tell them all about it. This is a big deal....especially to a first grader. She'll get her cast next week. Stay tuned....

on the move....

Margo keeps getting closer to crawling every day. And I am by no means rushing her to do so. I know it's all downhill from here. But here is a video clip of Little Miss doing her thing. And there's a bit of babbling going on too. Enjoy.
