Busy Bees and Monkey Business

WOWZER!! I didn't mean to take a two week blog break. I've been meaning to post, but life and all the busy-ness sort of got in the way. Margo has definitely been keeping us busy, as she is getting into everything now! She is a little monkey--climbing in the dishwasher, in chairs, etc. Here's a peek at some of her favorites.

Today was perfect pool weather. And it was Margo's first time in the pool. We stayed outside all afternoon.

In the big pool.

Margo loved her baby pool.

She loved sitting in her stroller and watching her sisters while she had a snack. They kept her so entertained and I was actually able to plant some flowers!

Here's a video clip of their fun in the pool today:

Here are some pictures taken over the last two weeks.

Madeline and Lydia on Easter Sunday. I snapped this one when we got home from church. Margo was asleep in the van.

Margo checking out her goodies from the Easter Bunny.

Madeline has a new smile!!! She finally lost her top right middle tooth. That thing was seriously hanging on by a thread (for-ev-er!!). She pulled it herself and got $2 from the Tooth Fairy.

Lydia started soccer. Her team is the Hurricanes. Being the social butterfly that she is,
here she is chatting it up with a teammate, while she is supposed to be playing offense.

Again, goofing off and not paying attention. This age group is definitely entertaining to watch. She actually has done really well as goalie and has stopped several balls.

Margo sporting her Carolina Hurricanes cheerleader dress. David dressed her this day to support the Canes in the playoffs.

Margo's first bike ride with Daddy.

She loved it!

Playing with her cuz, Brayden.

Lovin' on George.
Here's a video of her lovin'/attacking George one night while Madeline and Lydia were in the bathtub.

Sweet Carolina Girls

Do these girls look happy or what?? Of course they are, because UNC is the National Basketball Champions!!!! Unfortunately, I missed all but the last five minutes of the game because the power was out in Smithfield for five hours Monday night :( Anyway, I put the girls to bed by candlelight. David was at work and my neighbor came over and we listened to Woody on the radio and ate pizza and had a nice visit.

Yesterday we went to Chapel Hill to get new Championship t-shirts. The girls wore their shirts today and I couldn't pass up this photo opportunity on such a pretty day.

They were actually very cooperative. Yes, I did bribe the older two with cupcakes.

Carolina girls.........the best in the world!!! So true.
Happy Easter!!!!

Nine Months

Margo turned nine months old on Sunday, March 29th. We spent the afternoon at a birthday party at the park in Clayton. Margo loved the swings. Doesn't she look like such a big girl swinging?

Well, since the days just keep flying by and Margo's mommy can't seem to update her baby book, a blog entry will have to do for now. This is mostly for me, so when I do finally update her baby book (hopefully before she goes to kindergarten), I'll have this to refer back to. So I apologize if this is too wordy or long.

She's crawling at break-neck speeds now....and has been for almost 2 months now.

She just started pulling up about 2 weeks ago and although her noggin has taken several hits, she is becoming more steady every day.

Basically, she's mobile and getting into everything!!! The toilet, the pantry, the kitchen drawers, the dishwasher, the folded laundry, the trashcans, etc. etc. etc.

She's babbling more and more. Just the usuals.....da-da (her favorite word), ba-ba, na-na, and finally, ma-ma (when she's in distress!)

She still loves the song Banana Phone. The girls have spoiled her by turning it on in her room every time I'm in there changing her diaper. Therefore, she starts bouncing on her changing table, just waiting for the music to come on. So cute.

She has discovered Barney!! After a lengthy hiatus, he's ba-a-a-a-ck!!!! It's funny to see how excited she gets when she hears the intro music to the show. She also perks up when she hears the music to the Pink Panther, since Lydia is always watching that.

Within the past few weeks, she has fallen in love with a Curious George stuffed animal (that is actually Lydia's---from Santa, this past Christmas). She will grab him and give him hugs and big sloppy kisses. She will do it for several minutes. We love to see her do this. We'll put him on the floor and say, "Margo, go get George".....and off she'll go to love on him! I hope to post a video of this on here soon. Not sure how long this love affair will last, but it is cute for now.

She is still toothless, but that hasn't stopped her from eating. Her favorite foods now are Kraft Mac'N Cheese like her sissies eat, yogurt, prunes, carrots, and most any kinds of fruit. She's had her share of real table food, including strawberries, green beans, butter beans, baked beans, birthday cake, Chick Fil- A chicken nuggets and fries, etc. And of course her favorite snacks are puffs, cheerios, and goldfish.

She's still sleeping great at night, with 2-3 short naps during the day.

At her 9 month checkup, she weighed 17lbs., 10.5 oz. and was 27.5 inches long.

I thank God for another healthy, beautiful baby girl!
