Christmas is A Comin'

And it's coming fast! I have been meaning to update the blog long before now and here we are in the middle of December! How did that happen? Well, hopefully this hodgepodge of pictures will explain the lack of blogging! To say the least, we've been busy! The above picture was taken on the 1st Sunday of Advent. Madeline actually requested that I take their picture. Annie wanted to be in the picture too.

The pictures are not exactly in order. I had pictures on two different cameras, so I'll just recap everything!

Dec. 10th...Breakfast with Santa at our church. Madeline is talking Margo into sitting on his lap. Didn't happen! Cousin Caroline watches.

It must be a Christmas miracle! All the Grimes grandchildren in one picture :)

That afternoon Madeline and Lydia were in the Clayton Christmas parade with their Dance Studio. It was a long parade....but good.

Margo loved it and even had her picture taken with this Mickey impostor!

Dancing Queens!

This is what we see every time we drive up in our driveway. Annie is always at the bay window in our kitchen waiting. She's a beautiful dog, but is even more beautiful surrounded by Christmas decorations :)

Dec.14th... Margo had her preschool Christmas program. Can't believe it's been three years since I've been to one of these (when Lydia was four).

How precious! All the little hand motions, rhymes and songs!

She did great!

Dec. 15th....the girls took turns ringing the Salvation Army bell with David at Belk. This was a great community service activity for my little girl scouts! Margo loved ringing the bell!

Today Margo had her preschool Christmas party. I arrived at preschool right as they were walking back from the park. I love the magic rope.

With her buddy Evan. She told me the other day that he said he wanted to marry her.

Snack time!

Jingles has been moving all around our house, keeping a good eye on the girls. The girls love finding him first thing every morning. He was even hiding in our pantry one morning! This morning he was found hanging upside down on top of the bathroom mirror!

Dec. 3rd....Lydia played at the Festival of Trees. She had a bit of stage fright this time, but still played very well. She really has an ear for music and is always picking out tunes on the piano.

Dec. 4th....the girls and I went with our Girl Scout troop to see The Nutcracker. They loved it. Lydia came home and you-tubed songs from it and danced around the house :)

Dec. 8th....Madeline and Lydia were in the Smithfield Christmas parade TWICE. (the Sudans driving these cars let the girls have their pics made while they were lined up).

Madeline's turn...

First they walked alongside the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary float.

Lydia, Carrie, Lauren and Madeline

I walked it with them for GS and then raced them across town to line up again to dance with their dance studio. I met up with David and Margo to finish watching the parade.

M&L dancing with their dance studio.

With Alyssa. They did a great job!

Dec. 11th....We had our Children's Choir Christmas musical at church. The children did a great job. Madeline had a speaking part and Lydia was Mary.

Margo also was in the program. Here she is as a donkey, singing "Baby Jesus, We Love You". The little Cherub Choir was really adorable.

JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON!

And finally, how cute is this peanut Baby Jesus that Margo made in preschool? This might just be my all time favorite preschool craft!.

So that's what we've been up to. School's out and Christmas Vacation has begun..........
