We spent a week at Pine Knoll Shores a few weeks ago. As always, it flew by way too fast but we had a great time. Get ready for photo overload. I took so many pictures and had a hard time deciding which ones to post.
Madeline looks so grown-up here! She and Lydia loved boogie boarding.
Margo pretended it was a surf board.
Madeline and Margo buried Lydia in the sand. I believe they said they were making her a pregnant mermaid!
Margo enjoyed playing in the sand and making crab soup!
We visited the aquarium. This year they added a penguin exhibit and the girls seemed to enjoy that.
Trying to touch the stingray!
Lots of fish!
The shark tank is always a favorite.
Margo loved the sea turtles.
What's a beach trip without a trip to Wings?!? The girls love going there and we do too!
The girls in front of the pirate at Michaelangelo's Pizza. Notice the sign in the background that says 'Please do not hang or stand on the pirate." Oh well.....
S'mores at Amos Mosquitos. This has become a tradition at one of our favorite restaurants.
The girls asked us all week to go to the Sweet Spot in Emerald Isle. We finally made it there and they were happy! They had ice cream before filling their bags with candy, gummies, etc.
We had shrimp burgers from Big Oak Drive-In twice during beach week. They are so good!
Just goofing off outside Clawson's in Beaufort. The weather was perfect in the evenings along the waterfront! See how Madeline's hair is blowing in the wind!
We went to Shackleford Banks with the Westbrooks on their boat on Friday. We always love seeing the wild horses. See how close Lydia and Margo are to this one! Lydia actually touched this horse. Even though they are wild horses, I think they are used to being around people.
Another view of this horse after it was walking on the beach.
That evening we all ate at Beach Bumz on the Morehead City waterfront.
All the kids hanging out on Neptune.
You know I had to get my annual beach pics of the girls.
They are getting so big!
Miss Margo is such a little ham!
We always love looking at all the yachts and boats on the Beaufort waterfront.
Our happy beach babes.
Sunset at Pine Knoll Shores. It was a great week. Already looking forward to next year.
