Rainy Game Day

Last Saturday we dressed the girls in their Carolina blue and headed to Chapel Hill for the Carolina vs Idaho football game.  We bought the tickets about a week before the game.  As game day approached, the forecast wasn't looking too good.....

and the forecast was right!  It was a RAINY day.  But that didn't stop us!  We went to the game prepared. We kept hoping there would just be a few showers here and there, but it rained the entire time we were there.

So here we are....our happy little family :)  You can see how thrilled the girls are!  I think we lasted about a total of 15 minutes in these seats.

Margo was a trooper.  We had not been to a football game since she was about 4 months old.  So this was all new to her.
Cotton Candy makes everything better, right?!?!  Well it sure did for these two.
After hanging out on the concourse and getting a snack, David found some seats that were covered by the overhang of the stadium.

Here's a view from those seats.  Margo was cheering on the heels!  We stayed there until halftime.  The stands were almost empty when we left then.  It was just a yucky, rainy day.

We went down memory lane and showed the girls part of campus (while driving!) and our old house.  We then had dinner at one of our favorite places in Chapel Hill :: Breadman's.  It's become our tradition to take the girls there when we make the trip to the hill.

Despite the rain, it was a good day.  The Heels won and we had a nice family outing.  It's always good to be in the Southern Part of Heaven!

PS...Can't believe I only had one post in September!  I do have lots of things I want to post.  Will try to do better.  We have a busy few weeks coming up with Fall Break so I should have lots of new pictures.
