Lydia's Red Carpet Hollywood Birthday Bash

Lydia's birthday was on March 15th and she had a Red Carpet Hollywood themed party.  This was all her idea!  Lydia was very excited because this year was the first time since she was one that she didn't have a combo party with Madeline.  She got her very own party and was thrilled about it. (Madeline was also thrilled about not having to share her party with Lydia)  I did get a lot of cute ideas from Pinterest for this party.  Here are some of the girls posing on the Red Carpet.

I bought a lot of the decorations from Party City a few weeks before the Oscars. They had all sorts of Hollywood themed decorations which tied in perfectly with our theme.

Posing on the Red Carpet with my sweet Lydi-Bug!

Here is the cake that I made for her birthday.  She wanted it to be like a star on the Hollywood walk of fame!

We had cupcakes too.

Our living room was transformed to the Red Carpet and picture posing area.

Another pose of the girls.

Opening presents!  She got an iPod touch and was very excited about that.  Lydia always gets very excited about her birthday and presents!  There were lots of shrill screams during gift opening.

The sparkler candle added a special touch to the cake.  Look at all those candles!

Blowing out the candles on her cake.

The dress-up trunk with all kinds of accessories for the girls.

Grandma and Grandpa posing with Lydia on the Red Carpet.

Lydia's cousins even came by for a little while to visit and make their debut on the Red Carpet.  Aren't they cute???

Cheers!  Let's get this party started.

Action shot outside.

Oh, to be nine again!!!

Back inside for crafts.  Notice how little sister Margo is right in the middle of it all!

Signing autograph books!

Lydia surrounded by all her friends.  They had a great time!

Lydia took turns walking town the red carpet and posing with each girl.  I think she really loved this part the most.

There was a conga line and a little dance party too.

Lydia with Faith and Lauren--friends since they were babies.  All three born within just a few months of each other.

I do believe that a good time was had by all! Can't believe my girls are getting so old.
