Here's a quick re-cap of our Christmas 2013. We decided to get a family photo on Christmas day in front of our tree just in case this might be our last Christmas in our house since our house is on the market. Who knows?!?!?
This is how the girls were dressed just a few short days before Christmas! Yes, North Carolina has crazy weather. They had been to the splash park and then came home and rode their bikes in their bathing suits. I think it was about 80 degrees that day. Luckily, the weather got a bit cooler and it actually felt like Christmas on Christmas day!
We spent a couple days in Jamesville celebrating with my family. Of course, my mama cooked a big pot of chicken pastry--yum, yum!
Madeline got a Rainbow Loom and she and Lydia were hard at work crafting some cute bracelets!
The girls got some money and gift cards, so of course it was burning a hole in their pockets. Lydia bought this Rockem' Sockem' Robots game.
While visiting Grammie and PaPa, we also went to see the Windsor Lights!
Over 470,000 lights! Its just lots of lights and Christmas decorations down a dirt road in a small neighborhood. Everyone drives through slowly, turns around and drives back through. The girls stood up and poked their heads out of our sunroof to get a better view. We headed home Monday night.
We did some baking on Christmas Eve and had a lazy day at home with some visits from friends and our cousins. We headed to church for the candlelight service.
After the Christmas Eve service. Ready to head home and get ready for Santa!
Christmas morning! The girls were recording with their iPods and cameras. Margo is behind Lydia. You just can't see her. They were just a little bit excited!
Margo with her new AG doll Ruthie. Whew-wee Margo has some major bedhead!
Lydi-bug striking a pose with a new sleep mask she found in her stocking.
Madeline was excited with some makeup brushes and money that Santa left.
Annie was a good girl this year. Santa even left her some treats.
I cooked Christmas breakfast. This year I added a hash brown casserole.
Sausage balls in a new Santa bowl that one of my girl scouts gave me.
Cinnamon and Orange rolls!
I didn't go all the way with the decorations this year, but I did have a Christmas centerpiece and some placemats.
After breakfast and playing with toys it was time to head over to Grandma and Grandpa's for more presents and food! Here are all the cousins sitting waiting to open presents. This year we had some order to the present opening instead of everyone opening everything at once. They all just took turns and did very well with it.

I just realized I didn't get a picture of Madeline opening gifts, but she is in the first picture with all the cousins. They were all very excited with their gifts. We then had a very delicious lunch prepared by Grandma. We had a great day and an early bedtime!!! We are so blessed!
