A Halloween Post (the day before Thanksgiving)

Finally!  Halloween Pics.  The pictures pretty much speak for themselves.

Margo as Batgirl

Madeline as Maleficent

Lydia as a Gypsy

Family Pic...David and I even dressed up to go trick-or-treating

Batman and Catwoman

With the neighborhood kids

Mummy Oreo Truffles....yummy mummies!

Jack loved the pumpkin guts when the girls carved a pumpkin!

Of course, Jack and Annie had to dress up on Halloween too!  It was a great Halloween.  I think the girls still have some candy lingering in their Jack-o-lantern buckets.

After four months in a rental house, we finally closed on our new house today!  Here is our first family pic in the new house.  We had to go by after closing to let it sink it that we are homeowners again.  The house has a beautiful staircase which I'm sure will be the backdrop for lots of pics in the future.  We will be busy moving again which should add to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.  Can't wait to deck my new halls :)

Fall Fun

Well here we are almost at the end of October.  Like usual, we have been busy bees.  I did manage to have a little photo shoot oustide with the girls on Saturday.

They are growing up so fast.

Although, the pictures don't reflect it, it was quite challenging with Margo.

Well--maybe this picture reflects it!

They loved playing in the leaves.

A few weeks ago we camped at Pipestem State Park in West Virginia.

Eating with the cousins.

The girls got handmade bonnets at the gift shop.  I thought they looked like the Ingalls girls.

Family photo in front of Brush Creek Falls.  Annie even camped with us.  Jack stayed at the doggie hotel :-)

It rained quite a bit, but we still managed to have a good time.

The whole gang!

A few weeks ago, we went to the Wayne County Fair.  We really liked it.  It had a lot of the same rides that are at the State Fair.

Can you tell who the little ham is?!?!

Sorry so late with an update.  We are now gearing up for Halloween.  Hope that I can get those pics posted by Christmas!

Back to School and Moving!

Summer is almost over and we have been busy!  Lydia and Margo started back to school on July 21st--the day after we returned home from a week long beach vacation.

My 1st and 5th graders!  They are doing well in school.

Margo on the first day with Mrs. Tetterton (formerly Miss Barefoot).  She was subbing that day for Margo's teacher.  Madeline had Miss Barefoot when she was in 1st grade and had a brand new baby sister.  Miss Barefoot remembered many visits to the classroom that year by "Baby Margo."

Lydia with her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Schott.

Margo with her teacher, Mrs. C (Cataliotti) on the 3rd day of school.  Mrs. C was Lydia's 1st grade teacher.

Madeline started back to school this week on Monday, August 25th.  She enjoyed sleeping in late over the past few weeks while her sisters were already in school.  She's now in 7th grade!

After the first day of school with her friend Carrie (who just started 6th grade).  We are carpooling and of course, they needed ice cream sundaes after the first day!

We have moved!!!!  Right before we left for the beach in July, we got an offer on our house (which had been on the market for 10 months)!  Life got a little crazy and hectic.  But we did it!  We moved in less than 30 days!

Boxes, boxes, everywhere!  Madeline and I would go and check the cardboard bins at the recycling center every couple of days to stock up on boxes.  David was bringing them home from work too.

Almost every room in our house looked something like this.  It was a lot of work packing up our house that we lived in for 15 years.

So many memories here!

One last family pic in our empty living room.

I loved this kitchen and will miss it.

Wow!  So surreal to see this room completely empty.

More memories....

Handing over the keys....

Our temporary "new" home.  We are renting until we can house hunt and find our new home.  Things are going well, and we are about as settled as we can be (even though our dining room is full of boxes).  After all, home is where the heart is.....right???

Camp Don Lee 2014

Lydia spent the last week at Camp Don Lee. She went with Lauren. David picked the girls up on Saturday and headed straight to the beach to meet us.
Below are a lot of pictures from the week that were on the camp website. There are also some of drop off and pickup.
Enjoy the pics!
